About Us

Logue & O'Connor specialises in delivering training and consultancy to ensure that your business, company, or organisation is compliant with independent statutory regulatory bodies such as the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), the Mental Health Commission (MHC) and the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA). We also provide insight and analysis to client organisations on the ever changing regulatory environment and Statute Law in respect of the three aforementioned independent statutory bodies.

Our Head Office is located immediately off Junction 20 of the M17 motorway, behind West Wing, in Unit 16/17, N17 Business Park, Galway Road, Farrannamartin, Tuam, Co. Galway H54 C678. We also have an office in Cork City.

Established in May 2013, we are a dynamic company with highly-qualified, competent and experienced professionals on our team. We offer a professional, yet personal service and our customer base stretches throughout Ireland and comprises public service bodies such as Revenue and the HSE, private companies and organisations, healthcare facilities, HIQA Designated Centres: both public (HSE), and independent, and Mental Health Commission Approved Centres: both public (HSE), and independent. We also have a number of international companies and organisations on our books. Logue & O'Connor is a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) Recognised Institution.

Meet The Team

Sean Logue

Sean Logue has eight years experience as an inspector with the Mental Health Commission, two years experience as a Compliance and Regulations Officer with the Health Service Executive (HSE) National Mental Health Division, and nine years in Practice Development. He has previous work experience in occupational safety and health in the former British Steel plant in Port Talbot, Wales and with 3M. In addition to working in the UK, Sean also worked in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Sean is a Member of the Irish Ergonomics Society. He has a Master of Science degree (M.Sc.) in Occupational Safety and Health from University College Dublin, a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in Mental Health Law, Policy and Practice from Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, and a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) in Health Services Management from Trinity College Dublin. Sean also has extensive experience working in health services management, particularly in the area of regulatory compliance, quality, audit and report writing, including investigative report writing.

Imelda O'Connor O'Dea

Imelda O'Connor O'Dea has many years experience in business. She ran her own Fitness Training business for over twenty years. She also has a proven track record in project management. Imelda is based at our headquarters in Tuam, Co. Galway. She is responsible for the management of our training programmes. Imelda is a qualified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) as accredited by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC). She has also worked in London and Philadelphia. 

 

 

 

 

Rónán Ó Murchú 

Rónán has been working within the intellectual disability sector since 1991. Originally qualifying as a Registered Nurse in Intellectual Disability, Rónán also worked clinically as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in behaviour therapy and as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in positive behaviour supportand has the recognition as being the first registered Advanced Nurse Practitioner in disability nursing in Ireland. He has lectured part time in the Department of Psychology in University College Cork and runs a private practice as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist. 

Since 2014, Rónán has worked at a senior management level providing support to different organisations (Section 38, Section 39, HSE) requiring support in achieving regulatory compliance. In addition to supporting and developing governance and management, an integral element of this work has involved auditing and implementing systems for risk management, care planning, person centred planning/keyworking and staff development through on-site training, workshops and presentations.

 

Esther Zirkzee

Esther is our Office Administrator and go-to person. Esther has been with our company for many years. Esther is an excellent organiser and people person and keeps our ship steering on its right course. Esther issues our training certificates and manages our Head Office.

Our premises comply with all safety and fire regulations. There is ample free car parking directly outside our premises.

We have an up-to-date Safety Statement for our premises and operations which can be examined at any time. Our premises and our activities are fully insured, including Professional Indemnity insurance, Public Liability insurance and Employer's Liability insurance. We are fully tax compliant.
