Mental Health Commission Compliance
This is a one day training programme that can be tailored to suit the individual needs of a specific approved centre.
Sean Logue worked for eight years as an inspector with the Mental Health Commission. Sean has a proven track record in assisting approved centres, both public (HSE) and independent, to achieve significant improvement in compliance with the Mental Health Act 2001 (as amended by the Mental Health (Amendment) Act 2015), the Mental Health Act 2001 (Approved Centres) Regulations 2006, Rules, Codes of Practice and Part 4 of the Act.
Since leaving the Mental Health Commission in 2015, Sean has been engaged by a number of HSE approved centres and independent approved centres - that have had conditions imposed and/or enforcement actions or closure proposals carried out by the Mental Health Commission - to assist them in overcoming significant critical compliance issues.
Sean was a member of the project group of the HSE National Mental Health Division that developed the HSE Best Practice Guidance for Mental Health Services. Sean also co-facilitated the training of Quality Champions to prepare them to roll out training of the Guidance document to individual self-assessment teams throughout the HSE mental health services nationwide.
Sean also contributed content to the HSE booklet, "A Gude to Support Approved Centres/Services with the Mental Health Commission Inspections", which was developed by Quality and Service User Safety, Health Services Executive, National Mental Health Division.
